Where do you work?

My private practice is based in El Cerrito, California and currently am only taking on remote virtual patients. Therapy sessions are provided via video conferencing in the comfort of your own home, office or personal space! Due to licensing laws, I can only provide psychotherapy to those residing in the state of California.

How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?

The best way to decide if I am a good fit for you is for us to get to know each other, so let’s find some time to talk. I am available by phone or video for a free fifteen minute consultation so that we can discuss what you need and if therapy, online therapy, and I am the right fit for you!

What type of therapy do you do?

My training is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and I integrate my specialization of other evidence-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) with the power of mindfulness to provide an adaptive and flexible approach to your needs. I do not prescribe medication.

What can I expect during a therapy session?

During our virtual sessions, you will log into Simple Practice – a secure HIPPA compliant online platform, where you can view and submit intake forms, schedule and cancel appointments and initiate video conference calls for our sessions. During our video sessions, we will confidentially and verbally explore and bring gentle awareness to different areas of your life, emotions and thoughts, participate in mindfulness and meditative practices and mental exercises in order to break unconscious habits and patterns and build new healthier ones, helping you to create lasting change in the areas of your life and being that are troubling you.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person is different and the length of treatment will vary depending on your needs. A typical treatment course could last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months but you are free to discontinue treatment at any time.

How long does an appointment last?

Each appointment will be 50 minutes long.

How much do you charge? Do you offer a slider scale?

My fee per session is $200. I also offer a sliding scale, please contact me to find out what rate may be available to you.

How often will we meet?

I’ve found the most effective frequency of therapy to be once a week, but this may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at the moment, but I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to insurance.

What is your cancellation policy?

I request that you kindly give 48 business hours notice so that I may have the chance to fill the time-slot with another client in need. Appointments canceled within the 48 hour window will be charged the full session fee.
